NGA was founded in 1908 after governors met with President
Theodore Roosevelt to discuss conservation issues. Governors
decided to form an association through which they could
come together to discuss mutual concerns and act collectively.
This is really interesting... That Roosevelt started it, and it makes sense that the governors of the US would want to get together to talk shop. Very cool!
yea i just learned about the National Governors Association this weekend. the one i knew was Democratic Governors Association. this one has both parties.
